WOW! My first blog as a Mama! I'll have to say, I'm truly enjoying motherhood and I know it sounds cliche, but I have now discovered the true meaning of love at first sight! Well, let's see. I've been really really busy since my last blog. I was in such a panic to get the baby's room ready, get my class ready for me to leave, and nesting, that I neglected my blogging! Pretty much the whole month of March I was on "baby watch" as we're calling it. I was hoping to go into labor naturally, but my Dr. didn't want me to go over more than a week because of baby's size and some pelvic bone concerns. So after a visit on my due date (Mar. 28th) we decided to induce the next day! Case made his appearance at 4:25pm on Mar. 29th! He was so precious at 7 lbs. 12 oz. Dr. Rising is fabulous by the way and made me feel so at ease my whole pregnancy! I truly had an amazing pregnancy, delivery, and now a totally mellow baby! No complaints here! Case sleeps 3-4 hrs. at a time, had no jaundice, no colic issues or anything. He's so easy going...kind of like his daddy! Jay has also been an amazing husband and daddy this whole time! It definitely takes working together as we navigate the waters of parenthood! If you'd like to see more of Case's birth go to

then click on Case's birth day! Don't worry, there are NO graphic pictures! I'm totally against the gross graphic stuff! It's just a cool way to tell the story of the whole day! Hope you enjoy sharing in this amazing time in our lives! Until next time...

Baby Roo

Jay and I have decided on a nickname for our baby. We've been calling him/her baby Roo since I'm kind of like a kangaroo carrying around something in a pouch. Baby Roo is starting to get really big and active! I can't believe I'm already at 30 weeks! It seems like I just found out I was pregnant! Everyone keeps telling me that I'm not big enough and I don't look 30 weeks, but Dr. Rising says I measure exactly 30 weeks and my weight is healthy. I also had my diabetes testing last week and everything was fantastic! I'm so thankful that I've had an easy, (knock on wood)happy, and healthy pregnancy! God has truly blessed me. I hear so many horror stories. With that said, I am starting to get a little uncomfortable. According to the "books," it's only gonna get worse! The baby now is supposed to be gaining a half a pound a week! Let's see if I stay not that big for long! I'm really looking forward to my baby shower in a couple of weeks and baby Roo's entrance into the world! It will be here before we know it! If only I can hold out on finding out the gender. I've made it this long, but it's getting so hard! Here are some pics of the beautiful creature floating around inside of me! These are a little old, but I'm a slow poke when it comes to posting stuff. We were told we have a very active baby! Look at the arm around the head. Roo didn't like all the pushing! I was even more excited to be having the ultrasound on my birthday. It was a total coincidence, but it was the best birthday I've ever had! Hopefully, I'll think to blog again before my water breaks...

The most exciting, scary, amazing, and confusing news of my life!

So, the day Jay and I got back from our cruise in July, I discovered I was pregnant! I really didn't know what to think and I was a little worried considering I decided to ride the Aqua Twister speed boat in Cozumel. (Which was one of the most fun things I've ever got to do!)I was in a little shock, but 3 tests later, I was pretty sure! Jay was on cloud nine and it's been a surreal ride ever since. We decided not to find out what we're having...just because I love surprises and we're both old fashioned like that! We've gotta wait all 9 months! I just started showing a little bit and have tried real hard to be as healthy as possible. It's kind of weird that you spend all this time losing weight and trying to stay in shape, but are excited to start growing a belly! Jay and I just can't wait to see our beautiful baby! I know this is going to be the most life changing chapter of our love story!
My life since April!!!
So, I haven't blogged in a long time, but there are so many things that went on this summer! Cruises, renovations, and babies! So exciting, but extremely busy! Can't wait to start blogging again! Here is goes!

Green Thumb, not mine!
I am Spartacus!
Meet Spartacus. He's our pet possum. Yes, I said pet possum. He's itsy bitsy and has been hanging out around our house. Everyone says to shoot him, but I just can't stand the thought of that. He's so cute. I haven't resorted to feeding him, but he must have found something to eat because he loves our yard. I just find him so adorable! I guess it's the Ellie Mae in me, I've always liked wild stuff.....after all, I married JAY! lol! Anyways, any thoughts on what I should do with him? (Other than kill him!)
